Beckie Krumm

My name is Beckie Krumm. My education background is in Business as I graduated in 2006 from the University of Regina with a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration and a major in Accounting. While finishing my studies and working full-time at Evraz Regina Steel (formerly known as Ipsco Inc.) I worked in an array of roles within the accounting department from invoicing and cost accounting before moving into a management position. I started as an Accounts Payable Supervisor where I managed a team of six staff and then moved onto Senior Financial Accountant. Although very business driven with a love for numbers being a wife and mother was something I strived towards. After giving birth to my second daughter I suffered from postpartum psychosis. For years previous I struggled in silence with my mental health until it caught up with me and I was admitted into the psychiatric ward with suicidal ideations. Since then I have been on a long journey of healing and along that path in 2014 I became an ASIST facilitator and more recently a consulting trainer and coach with LivingWorks Education. As a natural leader, I was able to apply my business and organization skills to advertise, market and build clientele as well as complete the bookkeeping side in the background. Combining these skills with lived experience suicide intervention has become a passion. I am also a licensed facilitator for LivingWorks SafeTALK and a quality assurance partner for The ASK Workshop (Assessing Suicide for Kids) through Lifeline Workshops Inc.
